Post 215: new day, dolphins, ocean, friends, family, South Carolina, poem, painting
by Carol Bass
THIS NEW DAY
has never been alive before
like a new baby
many dark grumbling days
a necklace of black pearls
lost in dusty shadows
under the bed
we were quiet, pensive
gathering our insights
but today
the waves are rejoicing
serving up breakfast for dolphins
slapping, dancing their bodies on every coast
sing with us
come on
fling out of the shadows
come sing

perfect: “the waves….serving up breakfast for dolphins”
Oh your imagery sends me.
